Pelling is a small town in West Sikkim at the foothills of the mighty Khangchendzonga.
Here you can find the Sanga Choling Monastery built in 1697, the Pemayangtse Monastery built in 1705 , the 17th century Rabdentse Palace which is in the former capital of Sikkim (1670-1814) and also to be found in Pelling is the 137ft high gold plated statue of Guru Padsambhava which looks over the Pelling Valley
