Day 1. Bagdogra to Gangtok |

Pick up from Bagdogra airport and drive to Gangtok the capital of Sikkim, you will pass by tea plantations in Siliguri, pass through tropical forests and pass by waterfalls and rivers on the way to the beautiful city of Gangtok, overnight stay in hotel on B&B basis | |
Day 2. GANGTOK & Rumtek Monastery | All day. |
After breakfast we will drive approx 24km to the Rumtek monastery which was built in 1959 by 16th Gyalwa Karmapa, then we visit the newly built Zurmang Monastery, then back to Gangtok and drive to Enchey Monastery which is located next to the Tourist Lodge, it was originally a small hermitage and only became a proper monastery in 1909, evening free to explore Gangtok, overnight stay in hotel on B&B basis. | |
Day 3. GANGTOK to Pelling | 6-7 hours drive. |
After breakfast we will drive from Gangtok to Pelling which has stunning views of the Khangchendzonga mountain range, evening free to explore Pelling, overnight stay in hotel on B&B basis | |
Day 4. PELLING to Pemayangste | All day |
After breakfast we will visit the famous PEMAYANGSTE Monastery which is one of the most important monasteries in Sikkim, it was built in 1705 and second oldest in Sikkim. It retains its reputation for the celibacy and pure pedigree of its monks. after lunch we will then visit the Sangacholing Monastery which is situated on a ridge above Pelling, it can be reached only after a 40-minute trek up a steep forested hill, the sangacholing monastry is among the oldest monasteries in the state, it was built in 1697). Day 5. PELLING to Yuksam | 7-hours drive. |
After breakfast we will leave Pelling for Yuksam via Khechopalri, Khechopalri Monastery situated half an hour’s walk from the sacred Khechopalri Lake which is also known as the wishing lake. evening free to explore Yuksam. Overnight stay in hotel on B&B basis | |
Day 6. YUKSAM | All day. |
After breakfast we will visit the Dubdi Monastery which is the oldest monastery in Sikkim and was consecrated after the coronation of the first king in 1642, The Norbugang (the Coronation Throne) is situated at the centre of Yuksam. Evening free. Overnight stay in hotel on B&B basis | |
Day 7. YUKSAM to Darjeeling | 8 hours drive.. |
After breakfast we leave Yuksam and head to Darjeeling via Tashiding Monastery which was built in 1716 by Pedi Wangmo who was the half sister of King Chador Namgyal. The main festival here is the Bumchu, held on the mid night of the 14th-15th of the first Tibetan month. Lore has it that, some three hundred years ago, a holy man, Gandak Chempo, blessed a little water after chanting Om Mani Padme Hum five billion times. This consecrated water was preserved in a jar. At every Bumchu Festival this water is poured into 21 small jars and used for divining the fortunes of Sikkim. Evening free to explore Darjelling. overnight stay in hotel on B&B basis | |
Day 8. DARJEELING to Bagdogra | 5-6 hours drive. |
After breakfast we head for Bagdogra airport, through green steep valleys cut out by winding rivers. Leave the high mountains behind and through the foothills to the plain.
